Practice
Has Your Existence Been Shaken?
Have you yet had a moment when something you knew from personal experience, a long-known concrete memory of your own, turned out to not be true? Have you experienced when an event you clearly remembered proved not to have happened?
When you identify with what you think you know, then it shakes you up to discover that what you knew could never have been true. If you are what you know, then when what you know is wrong, what are you then?
When you identify yourself with what you think you know, then you live in false existence.
Practice Not-Knowing.
Focus on Nothing
Look between the atoms
Focus on the nothingness between all things,
The empty space between concepts.
It is the same in space between you and the moon
between your eye and the tree
between your brain and the inside of your eyelid.
It is now.
Nothing, Interrupted
This morning I was practicing thinking about nothing when I was distracted by something, and then when I went to resume my practice I went “Now, what was I not thinking about?”
Meditation in Reply
Marko said “Nič nas SME presenetiti.”
I replied:
Nothing is always there.
Nothing is always here.
Nothing is always with us.
Nothing always enfolds me.
Nothing touches me without holding me.
Nothing holds me without touching me.
Nothing is always available.
Nothing is ungraspable.
Nothing is inevitable.
Nothing attracts everything.
Nothing draws me forward.
Nothing gives me hope.
